Sometimes our day to day life makes us forget that we live in a big and exciting world, we focus on our own routines and we miss all the beauty around us. To avoid this, Joerg Daiber has created a series of time lapse productions called “Little Big World” that goes beyond the point of a regular video and portrays a miniature world.
To create a sense of a miniature city, that kind of looks like an amazing toy world, Joerg uses a technique called Tilt-shift. This technique allows to create the illusion of a city in miniature scale model by blurring parts of the photo and simulating the shallow depth of field, making the focus scene seem much smaller than it actually is. In addition, Joerg adds contrast and saturation to the image, making it even more interesting and toy like.
Thanks to his production company Spoonfilm, today Joerg has compiled over 70 episodes of different cities around the world that are broadcasted over 50 countries on TV and of course, you can watch a miniature version of the French Riviera.
